ISO 45001:2018 is the international standard specifying requirements for occupational health and safety management systems (OH&S MS). ISO 45001 Certification Process

The certification process at Imperium Certific complies with ISO/IEC 17021-1 requirements and NAAU accreditation.

Stage 1 — Application and Preliminary Review — The organization submits an application. We analyze the scope of activities, number of employees, locations, occupational risk level and specific hazards to determine the audit scope in accordance with IAF MD 5 guidance.

Stage 2 — Stage 1 Audit (Documentation Review) — OH&S MS readiness assessment: review of OH&S policy, hazard register and risk assessment, legal requirements, objectives and programmes, emergency response plans, worker consultation and participation procedures.

Stage 3 — Stage 2 Audit (On-site) — Practical functioning verification: workplace hazard identification, operational control, personal and collective protective equipment, incident investigation, worker health monitoring, staff training and awareness.

Stage 4 — Certification Decision — An audit report is prepared. The certification decision is made independently from the audit team, ensuring impartiality.

Stage 5 — Certificate Issuance — The ISO 45001 certificate is issued for a 3-year period. Certification information is entered into the Imperium Certific register.

Stage 6 — Surveillance Audits — Annual surveillance audits confirm the continuous functioning and improvement of the OH&S MS. Recertification audit is conducted before certificate expiry.
